Why Log In to YTDownloader?
Every core feature of YTDownloader works without an account, so you can start downloading straight away. Logging in is completely optional, but it adds a few extras that make regular use quicker and more organised.
With an account, your download history is saved, your preferred format and quality are remembered, and you can access the same history on any device you sign in from.
How to Create a Free Account
Signing up takes less than a minute and costs nothing. Just follow these simple steps:
- Open the Login page: click the Login button at the top of any page.
- Choose Sign up free: enter your email address and create a strong password.
- Confirm your email: open the confirmation message we send and click the link.
- Start downloading: your account is ready and your history starts saving automatically.
How to Log In to Your Account
Once you have an account, logging in is quick. Click Login in the header, enter the email and password you signed up with, and you'll be taken straight to your account.
If you use a personal device, you can stay signed in so you don't have to enter your details every time. On shared or public computers, always log out when you're finished.
Forgot Your Password?
It happens to everyone. On the Login page, choose Forgot password and enter the email linked to your account. We'll send you a secure link to set a new password.
The reset link expires after a short time for your safety. If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder before requesting a new one.
Keeping Your Account Secure
A few simple habits help keep your account safe:
- Use a strong password: mix letters, numbers and symbols, and avoid common words.
- Don't reuse passwords: use a password that you don't use on any other website.
- Log out on shared devices: never stay signed in on public or borrowed computers.
- Watch out for fake pages: only log in from the official YTDownloader website.
Managing Your Download History
Your history lists the videos you've downloaded along with the format and date. You can use it to quickly download a file again in a different format, or remove items you no longer want to keep.
You can clear your entire history at any time from your account settings. Clearing it does not affect files already saved on your device.
Using One Account on Multiple Devices
Sign in with the same email on your phone, tablet and computer, and your history and preferences follow you everywhere.
Changing Your Email or Password
You can update your email address or password from your account settings whenever you like. For security, you'll be asked to confirm your current password first.
Deleting Your Account
If you no longer need your account, you can delete it from the settings page. This permanently removes your history and saved preferences, and you can still use YTDownloader without an account afterwards.
Your Privacy Matters
We only ask for the information needed to run your account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored securely and are never visible to anyone, including our team.
We never sell or share your personal details, and you stay in control of your data at all times.
